Tbilisi International Film Festival was first established in 2000. The festival was born within a larger art festival framework entitled Gift, which carried numerous supporters and sponsors. Consequently, the festival at that time was able to have an interesting and diverse program. Faced by the threat of closure in 2002, a circle of friends and co-thinkers (Gaga Chkheidze, Nino Anjaparidze, Lasha Bakradze, Davit Bukhrikidze, Besik Danelia, Guga Kotetishvili, Gaga Lomidze and Giorgi Kajrishvili) decided to set up the Cinema Art Center, Prometheus to maintain the festival alongside the coordination of other projects. In spite of scarce financial resources, the 2002 festival went on to be held by the Cinema Art Center, Prometheus.
Prometheus was ultimately successful in attracting the attention of governmental agencies, and in 2004 the Georgian National Film Centre provided their financial support alongside other private sponsors. A couple of years later, the Ministry of Culture and Tbilisi Municipality also contributed their support.

The key aims of the festival are to introduce the Georgian public with new works of high artistic value — made in Georgia proper, and worldwide — and inform them of new trends in world cinema, in tandem with supporting the development of the Georgian cinema industry.

Meetings of professionals in the cinema community, workshops, master classes, retrospectives and other industry events organized within the festival's frameworks give motivation to young cinematographers and encourage them to develop their talent and artistic vision. We strive to turn the festival into a gathering place for filmmakers, producers, sales agents and distributors in the South Caucasus. The festival has grown in significance on a worldwide scale; the number of filmmakers willing to participate in the festival, via numerous pathways, is increasing year after year.

Model N Movie International Short Film Festival is constantly changing and growing from the year of 2015. MNMISFF started in 2015 at the National Level but with time, as public demands grew, we were urged to take this festival to a Global level to let people join from every corner of the Globe. Our vision is to shape up and promote a film industry that values talent to generate sources of income for the needy and deserving. A set-up like this is essential for a peaceful social state which in turn will lead to intellectual development of people guided by proper and adequate education. So, one of our goals is an all-round development of society - both economically and intellectually. Economic and intellectual developments play a key role in the advancement of human civilization - thus enriching the human civilization and retaining - while progressing - the integrity of its history.

After the success of the first 2 editions, IBIZACINEFEST broadens horizons with the same initial perspective: Get closer to the independent public cinema, unpublished in Ibiza and an author who will not find it in the conventional commercial halls.

With this spirit we try to educate and bring the viewer closer to this cinema of quality.

As a Modern Festival, it tries to create a structure that allows the filmmaker to disseminate and even distribute the enrolled films and the viewer to enter and approach this world through workshops, film-making and other activities, also for teenagers. And to professionals, offer activities of interest to them through

the Professional Days.

For filmmakers of the island and the Balearic Islands it must be a platform for support and motivation for their work.

Its preselection format first on our website gives rise to the fact that many works are known and popular.

The institutional support at the Festival is total:

-Department of Culture of the City Council of Ibiza.

-Estate Culture Council of Eivissa.

-India Tourism Patronage.

-ILLENC - Balearic Islands Film Commission-IEB

IBIZACINEFEST is the only Festival in Ibiza recognized by the Balearic Government (Illenc-Illes Balears Film Commission) and Ministry of Culture of the Government of Spain (ICAA).

This support allows us to dispose of the main audits of Ibiza with great projection quality and suitable venues for all the parallel activities of the Festival.

In this way and format IBIZACINEFEST is alive all the year and on its website you can consult Monographs or new Selections and all the information about the Official Sections and how Parallel Sections and other activities such as production and distribution.

In its 6th year, Animal Film Festival (AFF) is the only global fest of its kind, seeking specifically animal-themed films in every category. AFF is held at a beautiful and state of the art theater in the heart of the Sierra Nevada foothills in Grass Valley, California. AFF kicks off with an invitation-only party the night before the fest - serving delicious catered vegan food and beverages. Filmmakers are provided with free lodging (as available) and VIP treatment throughout the fest. Audience discussion follows films where the filmmakers are present. Each filmmaker receives a gift bag loaded with animal-friendly products. Best of all, the films screened at Animal Film Festival go far in changing people's minds and treatment of animals. This is a win-win for our audience and animals.

AFF seeks films that bring awareness about the realities animals face in the world today. The stories showcased in documentary, scripted, feature and short films are engaging, funny, edgy, beautiful and inspirational. The festival seeks to explore topics about companion animals, wildlife, animals used in entertainment, farming, and laboratories. We are looking for films that highlight ways our society celebrates our relationships with non-humans, as well as films showing the ways we mistreat them. Animal Film Festival aims to not only entertain audiences but to propel people into action to change their own lives as well as the animals affected. AFF is presented by the non-profit animal advocacy organization Center for Animal Protection & Education (CAPE), founded in 1992.

Turning nine in 2019, QWFF includes an annual multi day/multi venue festival, youth-oriented educational initiatives and year round screening opportunities for QWFF filmmakers, past and present. The festival is programmed in thematic blocks with evocative titles, and each program is followed by a post-screening dialogue to engage audiences from the demographically diverse communities that comprise the borough of Queens. Each year the festival has a very robust submission session, with films coming from all over the globe, 63 nations to date, including Cuba, Franc, Spain, Serbia, Korea, Bangladesh, China, Italy, the Ukraine, Iran, Scotland, Belgium, Finland and the UK to name just a few.

In every year’s festival there are tender films, heartbreaking films, and several works that are extremely provocative, maybe even, disturbing and the selections tie us into conversations people are having around the world via the real stars of the festival: the films. It’s about surrendering to the films, without looking for familiar names, titles, scores. It’s about creating the right context for personal, intimate films grouped together for a cinematic experience you will not get anywhere else on the planet.

The 9th Annual Queens World Film Festival returns to the Museum of the Moving Image in both the Redstone theatre and the Bartos screening room as well as the historic Zukor Theatre at the Kaufman Astoria Studios located right next door for 11 days of exciting indie films - March 21 - 31, 2019. Strategically placed between the two venues is the fabled Astor Room with incredible food and special discounts just for QWFF participants and attendees. The festival village is located in the Astoria Arts District which is subway close and easy to find via foot or in your car (Yes, there is street and metered parking!)
