Film & TV Tweetup is now the largest industry networking event in the Midlands, UK. It allows all professional and aspiring filmmakers and performers to come together in a creative and friendly environment to socialise and expand their network of professional contacts. The event takes place on the third Thursday of every month at Antenna in Nottingham (NG1 1EQ).

Each event usually kicks off with a Q&A session where a special guest shares their knowledge and advice, and talks about their experiences of working in this industry. Previous guests have included Rachel Robey (producer), Craig Tuohy (producer), James Nunn (director) & Zach Galligan (actor known for his roles in 'Gremlins' & 'Star Trek').

There’s usually then a ‘Pitch Up’ session which allows five people the opportunity to step up and pitch themselves, their craft or a project they’re working on to everyone in the room.

That's the standard structure for each event, although we do do other things as well occasionally, including speed-networking sessions, industry related raffles, competitions, screenings, workshops & presentations.

After the main event, the networking begins and continues for a couple of hours.

70-150 people fill the room each month including producers, directors, writers, camera crew, sound ops, makeup artists, costume designers, set designers, animators, storyboard artists, actors, composers, bloggers and more. No matter who you’re looking for, you’re sure to find them here and the atmosphere is always buzzing.

These events are not for profit, and only cost £1 entry on the door. There's no need to book- just turn up!

Our next event (February 2018) will feature Ben Richards (producer) on the Q&A panel.
