We're proud to announce our inaugural Milwaukee Edge Film Festival (MEFF) event!

Milwaukee Edge Film Festival includes a host of festival events that your film has the potential to be screened during. Many of our short films will be pre-screened during a pre-screening season before a student audience, and those students will act as judges in assisting us in deciding on the best films to win and be screened during our larger, annual festival event!

By submitting to Milwaukee Edge Film Festival, you are competing for the opportunity to gain publicity in a number of ways:
- Entering an ongoing competition for display on our website and various social media pages as selections in our Photography category (excluding film submissions except by e-mailed request)
- Gaining Publicity during various pre-screening events where audiences participate in the critiquing of selected short film submissions, and ultimately assist in the voting process as to whether or not they will be selected for the annual festival. These events for this season will start prospectively in January 2016.
- To win awards in a number of categories (as listed below) or be selected to screen during the annual film festival.

M.E.F.F. is part of a national network of student film festivals known as Critical Edge Film & Art Festival Network. The network has been facilitating student art festivals since 2014, and now is gladly expanding to Milwaukee, WI under the direction of Zachary Rosen (produced by Justin Verley). Please note: though we are currently accepting submissions, we have not yet confirmed the venue at which we will be screening selected films. Our event date(s) and our location are subject to change!

Welcome to Critical Edge Film Festival (CEFF), congrats on finding us! We've recently expanded our horizons and opened this new festival in Madison, WI! When you submit to our newest (dare I say most northern) film festival, you're getting the opportunity to screen your film in the middle of a fantastic film community. This festival is taking place in one of the largest college cities and the capital of Wisconsin - in the midst of University of Wisconsin attendees and students from neighboring colleges who're the driving force behind the new wave of digital video production.

Changing Face International Film Festival is an online platform for filmmakers to show and promote their short films and short screenplays.

CFIFF aims to encourage diverse content from diverse creators. We are excited to invite you to take part in our second year and hope you'll continue to be involved for many years to come.

Vox Popular Media Arts Festival (formerly the Bay Street Film Festival) will celebrate its 14th anniversary from September 13-16, 2018. Vox Popular programs all genres of media arts - documentary, features, shorts, experimental, 360VR, and installations made in Northwestern Ontario, Canada and internationally. The annual festival and year-round programming connects professional independent filmmakers with other artists and to audiences of all ages and interests by showing films, facilitating creative and professional development and multidisciplinary arts performance in an accessible, inclusive, friendly environment.

In the past thirteen years, Vox Popular Media Arts Festival has screened over 565 films; more than a dozen media arts installations; 360VR production, Projection mapping immersive screen experiences, hosted 165 visiting filmmakers from Canada and around the world; hosted dozens of Q&A's and 23 highly successful Master Classes; engaged audiences of all ages and interests including Indigenous, Francophone, LGBTQ, disabled and other culturally diverse groups in our community; and paid artist fees to filmmakers for13 years. Since 2016, we conducted five 360/VR hands-on workshops, and presented 6 x 360 Projection Mapping installations.

We are supported by the Canada Council for the Arts, the Ontario Arts Council and Heritage Canada, and many dedicated local sponsors. We provide up to ten travel grants to help subsidize travel expenses of out of town filmmakers, allowing them the opportunity to come to Thunder Bay to present their film, participate in Q&A periods after the screening, lead master classes and most importantly, to interact and celebrate media arts of all genres. We also skype in filmmakers who are unable to attend but would like to engage our audience. Since 2016 we have included 360 VR Oculus Rift screening stations. New in 2017 was our 360 projection mapping screen experience, set up in a separate hall for viewers to enter and experience locally produced 360 VR footage. Our call for submissions now is soliciting VR projects.

Trinity Hall our primary venue, features a large auditorium with a seating capacity of 440, a high quality sound system, a large format screen, and a stage. It’s ideal for screenings, master classes and performances. Our new partner, Trinity United Church has a Live webcasting initiative. Trinity Live blends videoconferencing, Skype TX, Zoom, and video production technologies into a stream that can be distributed either live or on demand to destinations facilitating the possibility of virtual attendance from filmmakers and audience from around the world. The festival utilizes other locations, including the public library auditorium across the street and an outdoor screen at Marina Park.

Thunder Bay is located on Lake Superior between Toronto, Ontario, and Winnipeg, Manitoba, north-east of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and it is serviced by an international airport. Be sure to check out www.thunderbay.ca for more information about the city and region we call home.

The awards only go to the women filmmakers. They cannot be an assistant in any role on the crew. They must be the lead role on the crew. This event also has a special awards event and networking event after the awards and films shown. This is our second annual event that will take place in March of 2019. This event will take place from March 6th to March 8th, 2019. March 8th will have the awards ceremony (A beautiful award) and networking event. Location TBA.

The Queen City Film Festival (QCFF), Western Maryland’s premiere film festival, is held each year in early Fall in Cumberland, Maryland. Founded in 2012, and currently in our seventh year, QCFF 2018 will be held October 4-7 at The Venue At Mezzos in Cumberland, Maryland. QCFF offers a four-day program of screenings and educational panels, and welcomes filmmakers from around the world. Located in Allegany County, Cumberland offers a delightful blend of hospitality and history; mingled with charming shops, delicious dining, arts and entertainment and lots of events and activities.

Previous festival favorites include Record Paradise, Led Zeppelin Played Here, Underbelly Blues, M Cream, Lady Be Good: Instrumental Women In Jazz, Bounty Momma, How Sweet The Sound: The Blind Boys Of Alabama, Subterranea, Australiens, and CADES: Forestglade Of Death, Better Half, Peelers, Nighthawks On The Blue Highway, and There Is No Such Thing As The Record Label Fairy.

Our educational panels focus broadly on Appalachia, historic preservation, and redevelopment for the arts, and often include film presentations such as LowerTown Paducah, Farewell To Factory Towns?, and Through The Place.

Last year’s festival included such award winners as the shorts H0_pe 02 and Under The Apple Tree, and the features Pigheaded, Samuel Barber: Absolute Beauty, MUXE, and Dickinson Avenue: The [mostly] True Story of The Paddock Club.

Our categories for 2018 are Animation, Appalachian, Cult, Documentary, Horror/SciFi, Kids/Family, LGBT, and Music, including the return of and our popular Happy Hour music video block.. We welcome eclectic fare and encourage submissions that qualify in as many categories as possible. QCFF also embraces and promotes films by Maryland filmmakers and films made in Maryland. We have been pleased to introduce visiting filmmakers to local media.

Short Cinefest is an International film contest. We accept short films, documentaries, animations, music video and web series of all genre. Each edition our jury members, who are formed by the industry specialists, watch review, and rate for the submitted films. We announce the official selection at the start of following season on our website. Next, with the second cycle of reviews, the winners of the Season are announced in each category. We do not organize screenings events. But every year, we publish a volume of Short Films in which the winners from season selections are introduced in detail. Our goal of Short Cine Fest is to introduce new filmmakers to the film industry. We also determine the best film of the year. The best film of the year is determined by the members of Short Cine Fest which is formed by young and successful filmmakers. Best film of the year won the cash prices.

NRFF was featured recently in the London METRO’s list of TOP UK FILM FESTIVALS among some very distinguished company, including Raindance and Aesthetica.

As of September 2016, we were ranked in the top 100 best reviewed film festivals on Film Freeway.

We have been privileged to screen world and UK premiers at our festival that went on to be nominated for the Oscars! We have also found that filmmakers, screenwriters and actors create new projects from meeting each other at the festival.

2018 will be our third year in London, a city known for its diversity and innovation in the creative arts. We will screen around 120 narrative shorts, documentaries, animations and music videos over the course of the festival, finishing with an AWARDS CEREMONY.
Running alongside the festival will be a SCREENWRITING COMPETITION and a series of MASTERCLASSES by film industry experts, a filmmaker's PANEL DISCUSSION, Filmmaker Q&A's, and other networking opportunities.

The Women in Horror Film Festival is a filmmaker and screenwriter focused festival dedicated to celebrating and showcasing women directors, writers, cinematographers, editors, production designers, composers, producers, and performers in horror, as well as the teams they work with.

All films entered are required to have 3 or greater of the following different specified creative roles fulfilled by women: (Producer(s), Director(s), Writer(s), Cinematographer(s), Composer, SFX Artist, Editor, Production Designer and/or lead talent). The CayFilm Cayman International Film Festival is an annual multi-day event that promotes the beautiful Cayman Islands as a world-class filming destination and incredible place to visit and do business.
